Delorean - Ayrton Senna EP

I've had a few requests to post Delorean's new EP, most likely because they got a Best New Music review from Pitchfork earlier this week. Either way, the review was warranted because their Ayrton Senna EP features five amazing synth-pop jams that are guaranteed to end your summer on a positive note. Opening track, "Deli," is nearly perfect with its chiming guitars and dancey breakbeats. From there, "Monsoon" and "Seasun" up the ante with swirling club beats and a hypnotizing chorus of female vocals and handclaps, respectively. The John Talabot remix of "Seasun" manages to improve on the original by incorporating a club-ready percussion loop into the mix, doubling the track in length from four and a half minutes to just over seven. The final digital release only bonus track, "Big Dipper," is equally as thrilling as each of the other tracks, with its high-pitched samples and shimmering beats. There's a reason why this EP is getting amazing reviews; it's a surprise collection of instantly memorable songs that will stick with you for many summers to come. Download this now or miss out.
